FAQ & Studio Terms
General Regulations
We only offer room rentals and do not provide photography services. Please avoid using glitter for effects. Indoor shoes and socks are allowed in the studio, but outdoor shoes are not permitted. Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the studio. A rolling rack with shelves is available for your personal items during your booking. The studio must be restored to its original condition before your booking time ends. Standing on the furniture is not allowed. Our studio is a pet-free space. If you need to bring a pet for your shoot, please email us at hello@contenthq.ca as exceptions may be made at our discretion. You must agree to the terms & conditions on the check out page. Fees will be charged for any damage to props, equipment, walls, flooring, drapery, or furniture. Dry ice and fog machines are not allowed in the studio. For moving heavier furniture, please lift rather than drag or push it on the floor. Contact a staff member if you need assistance. Note that not all furniture can be moved for safety reasons (the fireplace). Failure to adhere to our studio policies, respect the staff, building tenants, or other clients may result in the immediate termination of your booking.
Location & Parking
Content HQ is located at 364 Plains Road East, Burlington, ON L7T 0A4. We are open from Monday to Sunday from 9am-11pm. Free parking is located in front of our studio for our guests. If this parking is full, there is additional visitors parking located to the back left of our studio. For any questions please email us at hello@contenthq.ca
Booking & Registration
All bookings and cancellations are to be made on our website at www.contenthq.ca through our online booking system. Studio Hours are from Monday - Sunday from 9am -11pm. All bookings are to be paid in full at the time of booking.
Arriving & Departing
Our studio space must be returned to its original state 10 minutes before a booking period is over. This is to ensure that the space is ready for the next guest in a timely manner. Any unexpected time extensions will result in a $50 late/overtime fee. Please note, if you require additional time to set up/take down, please factor it into your booking. If you need extra time after your shoot and the room is available, you can rent additional time in 1 hour increments for $75/hr inclusive of hst. If you require extra time at the end of your session and you are enrolled in one of our monthly plans, please send an email to hello@contenthq.ca and we will do our best to accommodate the appointment if there is no appointment booked for directly after. If you are enrolled in one of our monthly plans and require more time for the month. You can upgrade to either the Creative Guru or Platinum Creator plan at no additional charge other than the difference in price between the plan you are currently on and the new plan. Cancellations
All reservations shall be paid in full. Refunds are not offered once the studio has been booked; however, if a reservation is cancelled earlier than 48 hours in advance, a credit will be applied to your account. This credit can be used for rescheduling a booking at a later date. There are no refunds, or studio credit, for cancellations made with less than 48 hours in advance notice. No-show appointments will not receive any studio credit or refund. We do not offer same day rescheduling. If you are a Content HQ Premium member and are subscribed to one of our monthly plans, you can cancel/reschedule your booking as long as a minimum of 24 hours notice is provided.
Damage & Cleanliness
You will receive a courtesy e-mail reminder 15 minutes before the end of your studio session to return the studio to its original condition. Furniture and props need to be moved back to their original place, and all garbage must be removed or placed in the garbage bin in the washroom. If the room is left untidy at the end of the booking, there will be a $50 cleaning fee added to your booking. Please do not step on the furniture in shoes. Please ensure to use indoor shoes as soon as you enter the studio rooms during the fall/winter months and rainy days. If you are taking pictures in your outdoor shoes, please ensure you wipe them down upon entering the studio. If there is any damage to the floor, furniture, broken accessories, or any other studio equipment you will be asked to reimburse the cost of the damage. Furniture damage is subject to a $250-$600 damage fee. This includes staining or dirtying the furniture which will require you to cover the cost of deep cleaning. Please try to refrain from eating or drinking in the studio but if you must please be careful.
Changing, Makeup & Bathrooms
Our studio offers a large washroom you can use as a changeroom equipped with a makeup vanity and charging station. We kindly ask that you store your outdoor shoes, jackets in here during your studio session in order to keep the studio tidy.
